If you’re visiting during the current summer rush (May–July 2026), here is the reality of the situation and the updated procedure you need to know.
The Real Price of Convenience
The Srivani Trust donation is no longer a two-step process. As of 2026, TTD has streamlined the booking:
-
Total Cost: ₹10,500 (₹10,000 donation + ₹500 darshan ticket).
-
The Single-Step Rule: You now pay the full amount in one transaction. You can no longer donate first and “wait” to book the ticket later.
-
The Quota: Only about 800–1,000 tickets are released daily online. In May 2026, these are selling out within minutes of being released at 9:00 AM.
Is it Worth It? (Srivani vs. ₹300 SED)
| Feature | ₹300 Special Entry (SED) | ₹10,500 VIP (Srivani) |
| Waiting Time | 4 – 10+ hours in 2026 | 1 – 1.5 hours |
| View of Deity | 2-3 seconds (Fast-paced) | 10-15 seconds (Closer & calmer) |
| The “Cage” Factor | You wait in Vaikuntam halls | You bypass most waiting halls |
| Availability | Book 3 months in advance | Current day & Advance options |
The Verdict: If you are visiting with senior citizens or have a tight 24-hour schedule, the ₹10,500 is a “spiritual insurance policy.” In May 2026, the Sarva Darshan (Free) lines are exceeding 24 hours. Saving 8-10 hours of standing in a crowd is often worth the price for families.
How to Book: The 2026 Procedure
1. Online Advance Booking
-
Log in to the Official TTD Website.
-
Navigate to Donations > Srivani Trust.
-
Select your date and number of people (Max 4 per booking).
-
Pay ₹10,500 per person and download your ticket immediately.
2. Current Day “Emergency” Booking
If you missed the advance window, TTD has introduced a 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM trial window for current-day slots. These are high-competition tickets meant for immediate travel.
3. The Airport Counter (The “Traveler’s Secret”)
If you are flying into Tirupati, there is a dedicated counter at the Tirupati Airport. They release about 200 Srivani tickets daily to air passengers. You must show your boarding pass and original ID to qualify.
Important: The May 2026 “VIP Letter” Ban
If you were planning to use a “Recommendation Letter” from an MLA or Minister to get a VIP break, stop.
Latest Update: TTD has officially cancelled all VIP Break Darshans based on recommendation letters from May 1 to July 15, 2026, to manage the summer rush. Only Srivani Trust donors and Protocol VIPs (sitting officials) are currently allowed in the VIP line.
Reporting & Entry
-
