If you’ve been refreshing the TTD website only to see a sea of Red on the calendar, you aren’t alone. We are currently in the middle of the 2026 summer peak, and honestly, the competition for the ₹300 tickets has never been this intense.

If you’re planning a trip for late summer or monsoon, here is the ground reality of when you can actually grab a ticket.
The “Live” Status: Can I book for May or June?
Right now? Probably not. The quota for May and June 2026 was snapped up weeks ago. Occasionally, you might see a single “Green” slot pop up due to a cancellation, but it’s gone in seconds. If you don’t have a ticket yet for this month, your best bet is either the Srivani Trust (VIP) route or braving the offline Sarva Darshan lines in Tirupati.
The Big Date: August 2026 Release Schedule
For those looking ahead, your next big window is the August 2026 quota. Based on how TTD has been operating this year, here is when you need to be at your computer:
-
The Date: Mark May 24, 2026 on your calendar.
-
The Time: Exactly 10:00 AM IST.
-
The Pro Tip: Don’t wait until 10:00 AM to log in. Get into the portal by 9:45 AM. If you see a “Virtual Queue” message, don’t touch that refresh button. It feels like the page has frozen, but it’s actually moving you forward in the background.
2026 Release Calendar (Projected)
| Month of Travel | Release Date (Expected) |
| August 2026 | May 24, 2026 |
| September 2026 | June 24, 2026 |
| October 2026 | July 24, 2026 |
Note: TTD sometimes shifts these by a day or two if there’s a major festival. I’ll update this post the second they confirm the date on their “Latest Updates” ticker.
Why are tickets so hard to get this year?
In 2026, we’re seeing a massive increase in pilgrims from North India (up by 20% according to recent trends). This means the usual “slow” weekdays like Tuesday and Wednesday are now filling up just as fast as Saturdays.
Wait, what about rooms?
This is a mistake a lot of people make: they book the darshan and forget the stay. TTD usually releases the Accommodation Quota at 3:00 PM on the same day as the tickets. If you want to stay on the hills (Tirumala), you have to be ready for a second round of clicking in the afternoon.
What if I missed the window?
If the calendar stays red for your dates, you have two “backdoor” options:
-
The SRIVANI Route: If you can swing the ₹10,500 donation, these slots are much easier to get, even last minute.
-
Lucky Dip (Seva): Sometimes TTD releases “Virtual Seva” slots which include a darshan. They don’t always announce these loudly, so check the “Seva” tab on the portal daily.
