Booking a ticket during the 10:00 AM rush is a high-speed game. Here is your human-tested, step-by-step battle plan to make sure you don’t end up staring at a “Red” calendar.
Phase 1: The “Prep” (Do this 24 hours BEFORE the release)
Don’t wait until the tickets are live to log in. The site will be crawling.
-
Create Your Profile: Head to ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in today.
-
Add Your “Pilgrim Circle”: Under your profile, pre-save the names, ages, and Aadhaar numbers of everyone traveling with you (up to 6 people).
-
The Secret Weapon: Copy your UPI ID (Google Pay or PhonePe) into a “sticky note” on your phone or laptop. You’ll need to paste it fast during the payment phase.
Phase 2: The Booking Day (The 10:00 AM Sprint)
-
Log in at 9:45 AM: Be on the site, logged in, and ready.
-
The Virtual Queue: At exactly 10:00 AM, click on “Special Entry Darshan (₹300).” You will likely see a screen saying you are in a queue with a wait time (e.g., “12 minutes”).
-
CRITICAL RULE: Do not refresh. If you refresh, you go to the back of the line. Just watch the progress bar.
-
-
Select Your Dates:
-
August 2026: Best bet is mid-week (Tuesday/Wednesday).
-
September 2026: Keep an eye out for Brahmotsavam dates; the ₹300 quota is often reduced during these festivals.
-
-
Pick Your Time Slot: The early morning slots (5:00 AM – 8:00 AM) are the first to go. If you aren’t fast, go straight for the 4:00 PM or 6:00 PM slots—they stay “Green” for a few minutes longer.
-
Payment: Choose UPI for the fastest checkout. Net Banking can sometimes hang during the OTP phase.
Phase 3: Don’t Forget the Rooms (The 3:00 PM Round)
Many people celebrate after getting their darshan ticket and forget that they need a place to stay!
-
The 3 PM Rule: TTD usually releases the Accommodation Quota for August/September at 3:00 PM on the same day as the darshan tickets.
-
Where to Stay: If you want to stay on the hills (Tirumala), try for “Srinivasa Nilayam” or “SMC.” If everything is full, book a room in Tirupati city near the railway station.
2026 Important Dates to Avoid (Crowd Alert!)
If you are booking for August or September 2026, try to avoid these dates if you hate massive crowds:
-
August 15th (Independence Day Weekend): It will be exceptionally crowded.
-
Ganesh Chaturthi (Late August/Sept): Expect heavy local footfall.
-
Saturdays: Unless you have no other choice, stay away from Saturdays. The wait time even with a ₹300 ticket can stretch to 6 hours.
Quick Troubleshooting
-
Payment Failed? Don’t try again immediately with the same ID. Wait 15 minutes or try a different mobile number.
-
Didn’t get an SMS? Don’t panic. Check the “Transaction History” on the portal. If the money was deducted, your ticket is usually there.
