1. The “Golden Hour”: Online Release Dates
In 2026, accommodation quotas are released on the 24th of every month at 3:00 PM IST for the month ahead.

The Window: If you want a room for August, you must be on the website on May 24th at 3:00 PM sharp.

The Rush: Rooms in Tirumala (on the hill) usually sell out in under 3 minutes. Tirupati rooms stay available for about an hour.

The Price: Rates range from ₹100 (Basic/Non-AC) to ₹1,000–₹1,500 (Nandakam/Panchajanyam guest houses).
2. The New 2026 Check-in Rules
TTD has tightened security this year to stop unauthorized room transfers:

Face Recognition (FRS): The person whose name is on the booking must be physically present. The system will scan your face at the counter; you cannot send a friend or relative to pick up the keys.

The 2-Hour Grace Period: If your booking says “10:00 AM check-in,” you must arrive by 12:00 PM. After two hours, the system automatically cancels your booking and releases the room to the “Offline” pool.

The 24-Hour Rule: You can only book a room for 24 hours. Extensions are almost never granted during the May-June rush.
3. Offline “Current” Booking: The CRO Strategy
Didn’t get an online room? You have one last shot at the Central Reception Office (CRO) in Tirumala.

The Token Line: Arrive at the CRO office by 5:00 AM.

The Lottery: TTD issues tokens for available rooms based on cancellations.

The Reality: In May 2026, the wait time for an offline room at CRO is averaging 6 to 8 hours. If you have kids or seniors, it is much better to stay in a private hotel in Tirupati city.
4. Recommended Guest Houses (2026 Edition)

Nandakam & Vakula Matha: Best for families. These are near the temple and very well-maintained.

Srinivasam & Vishnu Nivasam (Tirupati): Located right opposite the Railway Station/Bus Stand. These are the best “base camps” if you are traveling by train.

Q: Can I book two rooms on one Aadhaar? A: No. In 2026, the limit is one room per Aadhaar login per 30-day period.
Q: I have a Srivani Trust ticket. Do I get a room? A: Srivani donors get a “Priority Allotment” at the MBC-36 counter in Tirumala for ₹1,000 rooms. You still have to pay, but you don’t have to join the 8-hour CRO line.
Q: Are there lockers for my luggage? A: Yes, PAC-1, PAC-2, and PAC-4 have massive locker facilities. If you don’t have a room, you can deposit your bags and use the common “Free” bathing halls.
