If you are planning a trip to Tirumala this month, you probably know that “standard” rules are constantly changing to keep up with the massive crowds. For those looking for a faster entry, the VIP system has undergone a major overhaul in 2026.

Before you book your travel, here is the latest on what it costs and the new “No-Letter” policy you need to be aware of.
1. The New Pricing Structure (2026)
The term “VIP Darshan” at Tirumala primarily refers to the Srivani Trust entry. Here is the current price breakdown:
-
Donation Amount: ₹10,000 per person (Paid to the Srivani Trust).
-
Darshan Ticket Cost: ₹500 per person.
-
Total Cost: ₹10,500 per devotee.
Note on Tax Benefits: Because the ₹10,000 is a donation for temple renovation, you are eligible for an 80G tax exemption receipt. Make sure to download this separately from the TTD portal after your payment is successful.
2. The “Summer 2026” Rule: Recommendation Letter Ban
This is the most important update for 2026. Usually, pilgrims could get VIP access by submitting recommendation letters from MLAs or Ministers.
The New Rule: To prioritize common pilgrims during the high-demand months (May, June, and July 2026), TTD has suspended all VIP Break Darshans based on recommendation letters.
The only way to access the VIP line right now is by being a Protocol VIP (current high-ranking government officials) or by booking through the Srivani Trust Donation.
3. Updated Booking Windows
Don’t wait until you reach Tirupati to look for tickets. Here is when to book:
-
Advance Booking: Tickets are released on the 23rd of every month for the following month’s quota.
-
Offline Counter (Gokulam): There is a small daily quota available at the Gokulam Rest House in Tirumala. However, you must arrive by 5:00 AM to stand in line for these “Current Booking” slots.
-
Airport Quota: If you are flying into Tirupati, show your boarding pass at the airport TTD counter to access a dedicated Srivani quota.
4. Strict Reporting & Entry Rules
The scanners at the Supadam Entry are now synced with the central server. Here is what you need to follow:
-
Original ID is Mandatory: Digital copies or DigiLocker versions are often rejected at the VIP gate. Carry your Original physical Aadhaar Card.
-
Reporting Time: Most VIP slots are now fixed for 4:00 AM (Morning Batch) or 4:00 PM (Afternoon Batch). If you are more than 30 minutes late, the system will automatically expire your ticket.
-
The “No-Phone” Policy: Security has been tightened. If you are caught with a mobile phone in the VIP queue, your ticket will be cancelled without a refund. Use the lockers at your hotel or the PAC (Pilgrim Amenities Center) before you head to the gate.
Is it worth it in 2026?
With free darshan (Sarva Darshan) wait times currently hovering around 20 to 30 hours on weekends, the ₹10,500 investment is the only way to guarantee a darshan within 1.5 to 2 hours. For families with children or elderly parents, it has become the “go-to” option for a peaceful visit.
Helpful Tip: If you’re traveling from out of state, we recommend checking our [Step-by-Step Online Registration Guide] to make sure your TTD profile is verified before the booking window opens!
