As of early August 2026, the ground has actually started moving on the long-planned Shri Banke Bihari Corridor. Land acquisition is underway — about 20 of the roughly 400 identified structures around the temple have been acquired so far — and the state PWD is setting up a dedicated divisional office in Mathura just to manage the project.
