The TTD Electronic Lucky Dip exists because a handful of sevas — Suprabhatam, Thomala Seva, Archana, and Astadala Pada Padmaradhana — have far more demand than daily capacity. These sevas used to sell out in seconds to whoever had the fastest internet connection. TTD replaced that first-come-first-served rush with a random computerized draw instead, so every application gets an equal shot no matter when during the window you submit it.
The 48-Hour Draw Window
Registration opens on the 18th of every month at 10:00 AM and closes on the 20th at 10:00 AM. Each cycle allots sevas three months ahead — the July 18–20 window, for example, covered October 2026 dates.
No need to rush and submit at 10:01 AM sharp. Every entry within the window has the same odds in the draw. Applying early just saves you from the site getting slow near the deadline — it won’t get you selected any faster.
Filling Out the Application
- Log in to the official TTD portal with your registered mobile number.
- Go to the Seva Electronic DIP section.
- Select your seva — you can choose more than one, and selecting multiple sevas and dates in a single application genuinely improves your chances of getting picked for something.
- Enter details for up to two participants — name, age, gender, and Aadhaar (or passport, for NRI devotees), typed exactly as printed on the ID.
- Submit and save the enrollment number that’s generated. You’ll need it to check your result later.
There’s no payment at this stage. Registration is completely free — you only pay if the draw selects you.
Checking Results and Paying
Results are typically announced the same day the window closes, or within a day or two after. Selected devotees get an SMS and email alert, and results are also posted on the TTD portal under your Seva Electronic DIP history.
If you’re selected, you’ll usually have a short payment window — commonly reported as 24 to 48 hours — to confirm by paying online. Miss that window and the ticket goes back into a second round of allotment for someone else. Seva prices vary by category; most sources put Suprabhatam and Thomala Seva in the ₹120–220 range, though a few report Astadala Pada Padmaradhana closer to ₹1,250. The exact figure has shifted across sources we checked, so confirm the current price on the portal at the time you’re selected rather than relying on any guide, including this one.
Tactics That Genuinely Help
Since selection is genuinely random, there’s no trick to gaming the draw itself. But a few habits do meaningfully shift your realistic chances of getting into some seva over a year:
- Apply for weekday dates. Weekend and festival-week slots draw far more entries per available ticket than an ordinary Tuesday.
- Select multiple sevas, not just one. Astadala Pada Padmaradhana tends to draw fewer entries than Suprabhatam despite offering an equally close darshan — spreading your application across options widens your net.
- Apply every single month, even after a miss. Non-selection carries no penalty, and consistency over twelve tries beats hoping for luck on one.
The Six-Month Rule
Here’s the one restriction that catches repeat applicants off guard: once you actually attend a seva through the lucky dip, your Aadhaar is blocked from applying again for six months. It’s a fairness measure — designed to stop the same devotees winning every month while others never get selected even once. If you’ve recently attended a lucky-dip seva, factor that cooldown into your next trip’s planning rather than assuming you can apply again right away.
