The temple was constructed in the 8th-9th century by the Mlechchha dynasty. Later, rebuilt by Koch King Nara Narayan and Ahom kings during the 9th to 17th centuries. The final hybrid architecture defines a local style called Nilachal. It is also one of the oldest 4th of the 51 pithas in the Shakta tradition. The temple offers Online Darshan Booking facilities to all devotees. Now you can easily book the VIP Darshan Ticket just by sitting at home in advance. Here is the complete process of the Special Darshan Booking below:
- Visit the official website of the Maa Kamakhya Temple, i.e., https://www.maakamakhya.org/.
- A home interface of a webpage will open on your screen. Here, click on the Online Booking- Special Darshan button.
- A new interface will be opened. An Important Notice will appear. Read it carefully and click on Proceed.
- Next, accept all the instructions and conditions of the temple. Now, a login interface will open.
- If you are a new User, then click on the New User button. A User Registration form will open.
- Next, enter your Name, Country, State, PIN Code, Address, Email, and Contact Number.
- Then, enter the captcha and click on the request OTP button. You will receive the OTP.
- Verify the OTP and click on the Continue button. Now, you are logged in.
- After that, you have to select the number of people and enter some devotee details and ID proof.
- Now you have to proceed to the payment page. Here, you have to pay the Special Darshan charges.
- After finalising your payment, you will receive confirmation, and your e-ticket will be generated.
Maa Kamakhya Mandir VIP Ticket Price
The temple is open to all devotees, and the entry is completely free. Devotees can also perform the general darshan free of cost at the Kamakhya Temple. But the VIP Darshan has some charges. People who want to make a special darshan with the extra benefits, long time, and hassle-free darshan, devotees have to book the VIP Ticket, which is also known as the Special Darshan Ticket.
However, A VIP pass for Kamakhya Temple costs ₹501 per person. Children below 10 years old can enter with a pass-holding adult for free. There is also a special discounted rate of ₹51 for armed forces personnel. You can book the VIP Ticket at the temple premises or online through the official website.
