Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple is one of the renowned ancient Hindu Vaishnavite temples of Tirupati. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It was built during the 12th century and was consecrated in the year 1130 AD by Ramanuja by the Thenkalai Vaikhanasa traditions. The Govindaraja Swamy Temple is situated in the heart of Tirupati city in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh in India. About Govindaraja Swamy Temple, Tirupati

Govindaraja Swamy Temple is administered and governed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The Temple was consecrated in the year 1130 AD by Saint Ramanuja. However, there are structures inside the temple complex which belong to the 9th and 10th centuries. It is believed by the people that during the invasion of Govindaraja Perumal Temple in Chidambaram, the Utsava murti (processional deity) was brought to Tirupati for safe keeping. The Utsava Murti was taken back after the invasions.

Sri Govindraja Swamy Temple is visited by millions of devotees every year. On the occasion of Brahmotsavam and Vaikuntha Ekadasi, a huge crowd appeared for the celebration. Annaprasadam Cost

Sree Govindaraja Swamy Temple offered the Annaprasadam (free meals) to devotees who came to the temple to offer Darshan and Seva. The temple offered the Annaprasadam Service, typically serving lunch and dinner. Devotees can also support the Annaprasadam by donating to the temple. Lunch typically from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.  It will help the temple to operate the Annaprasadam for the devotees and needy people.
